I wonder what you are experiencing and questioning. Are you referring to the sense of being detached from your body?

Yes this does happen. Perhaps it is hypomania; but, I think also to do with medication. I myself have experienced this following ECT treatments. I more recently experienced instances of this during a medication withdrawl.
