I would agree with the issues you listed; health issues primarily. As we age so do our hormone levels. These wreak havoc on us mentally and for some women are a trigger source for our mental illnesses becoming apparent. For example, both bipolar and atypical depression often don't reveal themselves until women reach their mid-40s, just as a woman is entering pre-menopause.

I believe too that some experiences in life and relationships are unique to women - just as men have their own unque problems too.
