It sounds like RLS to me too. My sister has that and has the same symptom.

Alexandra, are you sure its not an allergy? My husband had the itching while going to bed thing and it turned out he was allergic to the feather blanket. Now we have a fiber blanket and no more itching although the feathers were more comfortable for me.
