Oh. Thanks for the clarification. I completely misunderstood.
It occurs to me that I have a worry of certain people showing up too but my own apprehesion has to do with people who are in position to take my housing away. This includes people like my caretaker and property management. I worry that they will determine I have broken a rule or done something wrong that will lead to my being evicted. In reality there is absolutely no reason. I am a great tennant and my place is never in disarray.
Where we differ though is when it comes to friends and family. Yes, I keep my place forever in a state of obsessive tidyness - just incase someone does show up. However, I
look forward to having people pop by unannounced. I suppose it stems from 1) a need for socialization, and 2) the need to prove to people that I am well and making a sucessful go of it. And yes, I am certain that some of these calls are just that - people checking up on me.
