Yes, I totally get how you feel! Including the kid aspect. Much of what you describe lines up with the definition of introversion. Many extroverts have a difficult time understanding the need to have small circles of friends, solitude as recharging, the discomfort of large groups/crowds, etc. Just as introverts may find it hard to understand the extrovert's needs. You are certainly not alone! I believe there are stats that show about 25-50% of the population is comprised of introverts. There are degrees of introversion, as well.
