Narcotic pain meds actually offer very little pain relief for Fibro pain. In a really nasty flare a "few" pain management doctors will offer a very small amount to use as a PRN only.

Since narcotic pain meds seldom helps Fibro .... it increases the chance a patient could take it and actually become addicted and based on all the recent FDA changes in pain meds... People with all kinds of pain are not being helped at all, The Doctors have such liability issues and I don't really blame lots of them for getting out of pain management because the Goverment has there hands tied.. and that is bullshyt.

I have Fibro and it sucks, alot.

Do you have a TENS unit? That offers me some pain relief at times.

There is a Sticky ^ on the top of this forum for Fibromyalgia, it's a great place, Tons of support and understanding.
