Yeah; I think the Internet has its pros and cons, much like life in general. I'm an advocate for people having a 'right to vanish' as well. I'm so against Wikipedia and other places not removing your damn accounts, because you tell them you no longer wish to be there. You don't always know that you cannot delete your posts or membership after you've registered, which can be annoying if you want something removed later on. It's like the sites own everything you add, which I suppose technically they do.

Normally, this is no big deal to most people, because you can just edit out all personal information. Personally, I don't know why websites employ like 3254 admins at any giving time when the majority of them are just nerds that don't do anything that's asked of them, and they are inclined to side with long term members over the new blood, even if the 'veteran' caused the argument. Biased much?

Wikipedia doesn't allow the deletion of accounts because they claim they need to credit the submitted content per the licensing laws, so they hereby need the author's name intact. Pure excuses, I say.

I remember the old YouTube. How it would lag. Now not all videos are in HD. Some people upload them off of old tapes, so the picture and sound may be muffled. That's not necessarily bad. If they want to share something that isn't easy to find, it's okay. It's the thought that counts. But I always try to make playlists with only the best videos around.

Lately, I started to compile lists of Canadian and Australian hits in order of how well they sold or when they charted, year by year. To do this, I used the information from two blogs. If it weren't for somebody else doing all the hard work to make such data comprehensive and easy to read, it would be a nightmare digging around for to get these facts elsewhere. I'm particularly fond of top 10 or top 40 music in all kinds of countries, and we know that Wikipedia is a real mess at times.

I'm not much of a gamer now. I used to play games all the time. Now they make them too hard, so I will start a game, save it, then avoid it for ages if I get stuck. So I went and played Separate Ways with Ada Wong, and liked shooting the heck out of all the scumbags like I did years ago, despite the amount of times I too died. Ha-ha.
