It's especially frustrating if it happens at work because it messes with my productivity. I'm debating whether or not I should ask her for something. I just don't know if this is something I should do since some pdocs can be stingy with stuff like that. At least my last one was, not so sure about this one.
Most of the time, my pdoc automatically prescribes my Klonopin. I assure her that I take it as needed (and I really do), and she feels confident writing me a 90 day supply. There were a few times where she asked me if I still have enough, and if so, she would defer writing another script for it until I am getting closer to needing more. My pdoc isn't stingy, but some are, especially with benzos due to liability issues and there are legitamite risk factors docs get concerned about with dependency issues, etc. However, only you know how you truly feel, so I'd say be assertive about how you are feeling so that the pdoc can truly help you. Instead of outright asking for a benzo, just ask about your options for a PRN med and see what he/she says. It's better to have something to fall back on as a PRN just in case rather than not having anything at all, in my opinion. Good luck.
Thanks for this!
