I think for me it would help other people to understand me better and it would help me give myself a bit more compassion rather than just thinking I am useless at relationships and in social situations.
I have an awful lot of questions but no one to talk to, my H is away working for a few months and I am a little lacking in the friend department. Thanks again for replying.

I live in the UK...
I didn't have a T when a support worker brought it up 3 years ago.
I was too busy dealing with getting my daughter diagnosed and problems with her education.
I have a T now, who was the one who brought it up again and was the main reason I got assessed.
Yes having the diagnosis has helped massively.
I understand me now, and it helps me see my whole life through the lens of Autism, it has given me answers, people understand me better.
Also I am easier on myself. Exactly what you think may help, I am useless at social stuff, but now I know why and it helps.
