I was MIS-diagnosed with BPII because of mood swings which were actually caused by low testosterone. Now testosterone is fixed and I feel way better or at least I did until I started coming off all the bipolar meds, which I took for years:
- Gabapentin
- Lamictal
- Gabitril
- Hydroxyzine
- Trazadone
- Seroquel
- Baclofen

I wanted to do it slow, but I was also into fitness and most of these meds caused weight gain and made it pointless to diet or exercise. So I went cold turkey on most of them... A HORRIBLE month went by and things got better, but I am at 30 percent of my capacity... I have no mood wings or depression, but anxiety and insomnia are un-bearable... I can't sleep at all no matter what meds I try and day-time anxiety makes it impossible to do much of anything, other than lifting weights and doing cardio.

Has anyone gone off so many meds at once? Any idea how long before I get back to my normal self?
