We both feel so sick and he found a 16 page explanation of altitude sickness on emedicine website. We have almost every symptom including cereberal edema and respiratory edema. Apparently this 8,000 ft ranch is not for us. One can die from altitude sickness but I think that we are in the clear since we haven't already and leave today. I wish I was exaggerating but it's been bad!
A lot of the symptoms mimic some bipolar symptoms like insomnia. So maybe that's what has activated my mixed episode.
The good news is that we will recover quickly be descending to a lower altitude. It's 3:00 am right now. We are packing and can head to Colorado Springs at 1:00 pm which is 1,000 ft. Unfortunately the plane doesn't leave until midnight but at least we will be recovering.
I'm really bad about ignoring physical symptoms probably from having chronic pain for so long. And bipolar being forefront. We should have left this place and flown home sooner but at least the end is near.
