Hello Standup2me: I believe there are lots of members here on PC who practice mindfulness. Mindfulness, for me, is simply one aspect of a broader practice based in the Buddhist tradition.

In my case, what it means is simply being aware of what is going on within my mind & body, rather than to have it bouncing around from one thing to another.

I'm not on psych med's. Nor do I see a therapist.

But I have been actively suicidal in the past & I'm still at least passively so.

So, since I'm still here, & functioning, I guess one would have to say it's working for me.
