Yesterday my parents called and asked for some help. I had given them a television set a while back and it had been struck by lightning, so until it was replaced, they asked me to move another tv into their den. I have moved this same television from one room to the other several times by just picking it up and carrying it, but yesterday, it didn't go so well. I picked it up and realized that I had made a big mistake when I felt a knife like pain in my lower back. Needless to say, I had to put it back down in a hurry. After I managed to get it moved, I came home, took some pain medication and spent the night in bed. Today at work was a nightmare, and I'm up now because I couldn't sleep with the pain. I have come to the conclusion that I can't do the same things I could 20 years ago. Well, I can, but not without suffering through the repercussions. On the bright side, the insurance company is replacing the tv, and they'll get a flat screen lcd that will be a whole lot easier for me to lug around when they need it. Ever had a specific event that reminded you that you're not 20 anymore?
