Pulled muscles in the back are a horrid thing. I'm so sorry you are hurting.
To answer your question.....Definitely YES!!! Simple things like going up and down stairs and just plain walking sometimes remind me that I'm not spring chicken anymore. Playing with my grandson....throwing the frisbee around....I end up aching the next couple of days.....good grief!! LOL
Heat and cold on the muscles.....anti inflammatories if you can take them....a bit of rest.....and be careful!
