How does he respond to a light seat? 3-point or 2-point as some people may call it? I find the youngsters sometimes prefer it.
But make sure you have a neck strap in case he comes to a grinding halt or tries to whip and do a U-turn. Also make sure your head is well up in case he throws his head around.
