I can relate. There was a time I thought I would never ever work. I've proved myself wrong. Right now I'm working about 16 to 20 hours a week with a clockmaker. My life has definitely changed and people have noticed. It is amazing what purpose can do to one's life, especially when they enjoy what they are doing.

Repairing clocks has taught me so much about myself. I never thought I would find work that fits my strengths, interests and personality traits. Most jobs require a lot of social interaction and the use of phones, which I don't care for. My employment future felt so bleak, because most jobs appeared to be for "people persons". Now I know there are jobs out there for introverts who like to work alone or with a small group of people.

A clockmaker is an engineer, machinist, toolmaker, mechanic and artist.
