So my mood swings are getting worse and more extreme (which I didn't think was possible) and now when I'm depressed I'm experiencing suicidal ideation with a few fightable thoughts of actually acting on it. So I've been there before (without the mood swinging from there to actually ok which is why I say my mood swings are worse and more extreme) and I know relatively soon I'll have a plan with intent. But two problems stand in the way of going to inpatient.
1) I really don't think it's a good idea to miss the beginning of my first year of college
2) I'm terrified of what the adult unit may be like. I've only ever been on the Adolesent unit and I've heard bad things about the adult unit on my three stays on the Adolesent
So I ask two things
1) what would you do?
2) what is the adult unit like. Is it just like the Adolesent? Like schedule wise, I can handle the people I've been on one during my stay to see the medical doctor, I keep to myself so I shouldn't cause anyone to get mad at me. I've had a severe schizophrenic on the Adolesent ward and even though their screaming and such triggers my psychosis, I can handle it
