I was told the only reason I was dx bp 1 was because of the delusions I get, though apparently my.most current episode was a severe manic episode cause it sent me to the ER when I tried to kill myself back in January, (but oddly enough no psych hospital with wouldn't take me due to my vision impairment, or had any beds for me) I also had an episode back in October and the same thing happened OD and ER, then I wss put into a php program where my BP 1 dx was made and January was when it was confirmed. But I have more depressive episodes than manias, and usually I'm only hypomanic. So if it weren't for the 2 full blown manic episodes (an a possible manic/psychotic break in 2012) I'd probably only have a BP 2 dx... And my psychiatrist won't confirm whether or not I get psychotic features, even though I do get psychotic symptoms in both mania and depression... It's so confusing it really is...
