Thinking backwards when you see an absurd warning is fun too. Usually the warning is created after the event it warns about has taken place.
So, for example, an electric shaver warns do not use near open flame. So then, somewhere at some point a man said to his wife/partner, "Well, honey, this morning I think I'm just gonna sit in the fireplace and shave."

Not a warning, but ... I have a cookbook with a Sloppy Joe recipe that lists all the things you'll need including the hamburger buns. In the instructions for prepation, it says to brown the meat, drain it, then add all the remaining ingredients----except the buns.

. I always thought that was so cute! It IS a beginner's cookbook.
