Lithium is highly likely to cause it, as it has damaging effects to the thyroid.
Also, a TSH itself is not enough while thyroid testing. Ultrasound is important. Anti-TPO is important, as well as fT 3 and fT4 and other hormones.
Can you explain that?
I suffer from Conginental Hypothyroidism (my thyroid is not developed well originally, it's smaller than it should be, which affects me in many ways), but I also have a variety of other endocrine disorders, such as issues with my adrenal glands and - possible - pituitary gland. I've also been or still I'm hyperthyroid due to medication overdose. Will see next time after doing my tests. I wouldn't personally feel good with, for example, just being labeled with psychiatric disorder, while there are so many issues with how my body works. I believe there shouldn't be a place for psychiatric diagnosis when there is a serious endocrine issue, especially thyroid.
