A man who recently retired decided he wanted to travel the country so he purchased an RV. On his way home after picking up his RV, he decided he wanted a cup of coffee. So he set the cruise control, got up, walked to the back to make his cup of coffee.
You guessed it, the RV crashed. The man sued and a jury awarded him $1.7 million as well as a new RV. The plaintiff's argument was that the owner's manual did not state he could not do this. The manufacturer has changed its owner's manuals to include this warning.
