Anxiety can be irrational, as Jacky said.
I'm a little perplexed -- do people confuse the two? They're not alike at all.
Though I have GAD (which contains boatloads of irrational anxiety), anxiety pretty much vaporizes with hypo/mania. As does fear. Though I do worry that people will think I'm "on something" when it's intense. Otherwise though.
