I feel for you. One of the least helpful things that people do is to tell you things don't matter or try to stop you from compulsing. It just causes more stress usually, at least for me.
Are you in therapy? I highly suggest ERP (which is a specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy that is often used to treat OCD). OCD is a debilitating disorder and I really feel for you - I've been in the place where I've stayed up all night cleaning and counting and obsessing. But it can be treated. I hope that you can find someone who is supportive and understands the disorder. Because it is only so much harder when you don't have a solid support system.
