Were you at the game by yourself? Did you initiate going to and/or want to be at the game? What were the people behind you yapping about? Did you think of telling them to keep it down and/or feel you could not (in my case because I was angry and would "kill" them if I so much as turned around to glare at them :-)

I was at the game with my son; it's something we do every year for the last 8 years or so. They were drinking and being really negative about their own home team on every at bat. They weren't doing it intentionally to annoy me and they were friendly before the game so I would feel bad telling them to stfu, especially in front of my kid.
Until I learn how to block it out, I'll just have to control my irritability or anger with these kind of people. It's been an ongoing problem.
