Yes... but I have no clue how to answer.

1. First T recommended that I see a specialist for a consult, but he also told me that if I liked her, I could start seeing her instead of him - that he'd understand and wanted me to get the best help possible for my issues. I saw her for the consult, thought she was great, and... she wouldn't see me. She was too busy writing her book and not taking on new clients, which was kind of heartbreaking at the time. (The referring T then kicked me out, so it was a really rough experience for me.)

2. The consulting T from above gave me several referrals. I'm not sure if these count, since she wasn't really *my* T. But... of her referrals...

- I saw one, and hated him. Quit after a few sessions.
- Saw one, and liked her... stayed with her for several years, but didn't really make progress
- Saw one at my schools counseling center, and would have kept seeing her, but she refused to take me on as a patient.
- There may have been others that I can't remember, that I might not have contacted.

Also... now that I think of it, that original T - the first T that I saw - did give me a few referrals early on, when I thought it wasn't going to work out. And again, mixed results.
- 1 was too far away, I didn't see her
- 1 - I went to one visit, but didn't think she was able to help She was a very young, new therapist, and I didn't think she had the experience to help me.
- 1 was his wife, I thought she seemed like a reasonable possibility, but after 3 sessions, she kicked me out. She said it was because I needed "immediate help" and she was about to leave for a 2 week vacation. Seriously, lamest excuse ever. Which is how I ended up un-quitting and going back to T1.

Ugh. Bumpy ride. Still searching for a good T for me.
