It sounds like you need to think about this as "it is going to be in my body no matter what" and then you can at least control how it goes in since they'll use injections if you don't take pills. Injections may be easier for you; I think it's a personal thing, but I don't think you're very likely to avoid the meds in one form or another. And who knows, maybe if you try it you'll discover it isn't so bad after all.
