Hello Longhornsfan78: I'm not sure I really understand the problem here. Perhaps how things work for you are different than how they would work for me.

I'm not currently on any med's. But, when I was, my health insurer simply paid their portion of the cost. They didn't have anything to do with who picked up the prescription. To the extent there would have been any concern, it would have been on the part of the pharmacy where I filled my prescription. However, there never was a problem that I can recall. My spouse sometimes picked up my prescriptions for me & there was never any problem.

I guess if you think there may be a problem related to your mom picking up your meds early, I would call the relevant entities (insurer, pharmacy, etc.) explain the situation, & see what kind of arrangements can be worked out. I'm quite certain they will want you to have your med's. They simply need to ensure that they're not falling into the wrong hands. It's nothing personal.
