Yes - it helps me know they are human.
Yes - it helps me deal with other people who might have the same response to as the therapist.
I have the tendency to ramble on about pet topics or anything in general when I'm anxious, due to a fear of awkward silences and sheer loneliness.
So I overshare to extremely casual acquaintances who seem accepting, and it took me a long time to realise that from their body language, they were likely bored and irritated.
Ex T has expressed frustration about my rambling, and irritation with me. It hurt to hear, but then I realise these tendencies of mine drive people away.
