Generic lamictal: $350
Gabapentin: $160
lorazepam: $18
propranolol: $16
Those are the costs of my medications without insurance. (Forgot to ask about haldol, but I'm on that too.)
My doctor's office only gave me samples of gabapentin and haldol. And with the gabapentin they only gave me a weeks worth.
I applied for state insurance, but I'm worried I'm not going to get it.
If, for whatever reason, I don't get state insurance, what do you guys think I should do?
I would say I'm freaking out, but I'm really not. I'm still in shock that generic lamictal is $350 without insurance. I was thinking it was going to be more in the hundred range, like gabapentin.
Should I start weaning off my medication?
I just need enough to wean off of it. With lamictal I need at least a month. I've weaned off it before. It sucked. But I was able to do it in a month. And since I have zero responsibility right now I can lay in bed moaning and twitching all day while I'm going through withdrawal.
The reason why I want to wean off this stuff is because it's so much without insurance! I can't afford this ****. I hate being dependent on stuff that's so expensive.
