I think any portrayal of bipolar that is not negative is welcome tho. And it opened up the public dialogue about bipolar as well. So while i thought it was silly at least it promoted awareness in a fairly positive light.

I experience a lack of "filter" when I am in either a hypo or a mixed episode.
I can observe the lack of filter, yet cannot do anything to change it -- until I am getting out of the episode.
I felt they'd balanced demonstrating types of behaviors, showing he had some vulnerabilities and some struggles while being a well-intentioned person, which counters much of the stigma of bipolar. I agree this portrays bipolar in a positive light.
