I'm happy you found something that works well for you, congrats!!
I do think we get acclimated to depression after experiencing it for awhile, which makes it more difficult to find our way out of or around it....because it has now become our "home base". (Well, true for me at least.)
I've read where others swear by the look in the mirror thing, so although it wouldn't work for me, it obviously works very well for some...like you.
