I've been grinding day and night for over 10 years. I developed TMJ before identifying anxiety as the cause. It's absolute horror. I advise if you notice it happening more often you bring it up with your medical provider before it becomes a serious problem. Since it gets serious there's little to do to help prevent damage besides a night guard. After grinding as bad as I do for as long as I have, I have cracks and chips in my teeth, all of the incisors are dulled flat, I'm in constant 2-3/10 pain, can hardly eat steak or burgers without my jaw going out, I get headaches, etc. However, I do have a pretty bad anxiety disorder which left unchecked for years made the problem a lot worse. Don't let it get out of hand!
