Hey couch. I'm away this week (with the in-laws

) and I spent last session with T talking about ways to cope with what is normally a very stressful and unhappy experience for me.
We talked about what action I can take to make things more positive. Among many other things, T said "If you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got" and I have been quoting this to myself many times a day.
I am choosing not to react to the myriad of ways my in laws can drive me insane, and as a result I am finding myself more relaxed, I feel on the same team as H, and generally I feel better than I have felt out of routine in years. There might be something in this therapy lark!
