Hi everyone , today i have been discharged by the psychiatric clinique with this diagnosis: bipolar disorder, hypomanic episode. They said that was hypomania and not mania because of my good insight and lucidity; but i rember that two days before hospitalization the pressure to move and to be physical occupied was so strong that i yelled like... a crazy, and i almost harm a relative person close to me. So it seems that the fact that i needed to be hospitalized to prevent harm towards me and others and the fact that i needed to get rid of that hyperactivity (psychomotor agitation) were not enough for a diagnosis of a full-blown mania without psychosis. Your thoughts?
