On the job front, there's a promotion position opening soon in my previous unit. It was very technical, very little contact with the public, and I really excelled at the work. I left because of the romper-room antics, drama, backstabbing, crying, etc. there's a new supervisor but most of the staff are the same ones I couldn't wait to get away from. My boss urged me to apply for it, but I'm not sure the increase is worth it, it's backup to the supervisor and I don't think I have the leadership skills anywhere inside me. Sigh. I'm going to retire at this salary!
