I delayed replying on purpose. You needed to hear that some of what is going on in your school isn't appropriate behavior. But I think now you are ready to hear that a lot of what you are going through IS part and parcel of being a teenager.

The teen years are those tough years between being a child and being an adult. We all go through it (well, most of us, there are some adults who haven't matured yet.)

During that time of growth, our minds and bodies are both growing. We want to stay a child, enjoy the fun things, not have responsibilities, stay protected and cared for. We also want to be an adult, be treated like an adult, be allowed to make our own choices, and similar responsibilities.

But as a teen, most ppl just aren't ready to be an adult. That's one reason why teachers have you grade your own or each other's papers. That why they make you do things that you would think are a teacher's responsibility: to help you assimilate into an adult world where things are not all done for you.

There's usually confusion as a teenager. Mixed emotions about who you are, what you are, who you should be and how your peers view you. There's always doubt about how good you are and whether anyone will ever love you. It is all normal.

I'm glad you have PC to help you get through this time, and I'm sure you will find many other teens here who are going through the same stuff. You can all safely traverse the path together here.
