Can you talk to your Dad? If not, how about making an appointment to see your local GP? I am also in Australia and a GP can assess your mental health and perhaps give a referral to see a psychologist or a counselor under a mental health access plan, this is also covered by medicare. This could also make speaking to your dad about what you are going through much easier.

I've tried to tell my dad, the online counsellors told me to try writing a letter and handing that to him. I wrote it but couldn't give it to him. I'm going to give headspace a call on Monday and see if they need a parent's consent, hopefully not. My school counsellor makes me uncomfortable. I really like this forum, everyone seems so friendly and supportive
