A great deal of my depression has been caused by sexism and being called all sorts of misogynistic names by men and (even women) and not being able to navigate normally in the world like a man would. Every f*cking day I have to worry about being looked at in a sexual manner and I dress very conservatively.

I feel like people in this society will never take me seriously, not my anger (most people have laughed at me and not think I'm capable of causing any harm like a man would). There was a study I once read about women's anger not being taken seriously whereas the people in the study usually backed down when it was a man expressed anger.

Like even in mainstream music, there are even new words targeting women such as "thot". People like to pretend that slurs like the b-word are gender neutral when

People take race far more serious than they will gender. If the n-word is used there is an outcry but as soon as random man calls me a ****** on the street no one comes to my defense. It's just ingrained in society and pisses me off that I've been socialized to restrict myself at every turn.
