I was put on Prozac once, and withing the first few days I became increasingly violent for no reason. I had severe nightmares, and would even sleepwalk, and beat others up in my sleep. Luckily I was already in the hospital when they put me on it, so they were able to see the change in my behavior, and it lasted for 2 weeks, and I couldn't even explain why I was acting that way. I had no idea why I was feeling so much anger and having the violent outbursts. So the Doctors looked over my meds. and realized that I had just been put on the Prozac right before it started, so they stopped the Prozac. Within just a few days, I went right back to normal and the violent outbursts stopped, so did the nightmares!
So it does effect some people with an anger side effect, and with some people it actually helps them guite a bit.
But I wish you the best in getting this worked out with your Doc,and finding the right medication for you. I'm sorry your having to deal with all these side efffects, and switching medications so often. Sometimes it does take awhile to find the right medication for you. It took 10 years for them to find the right medication for me,so I understand what you're going through! Side effects suck, and even the medication for side effects has side effects! It kindof feels like a no win situation!
I wish you the best in finding what you need, and what works best, with the least side effects!
