given what my location goes by for what dissociative type alters are and all that Im wondering if rather than the same alters constantly coming and going if either these are a different group of alters making their self known after the others merged or if there is ongoing extreme trauma such as abuse of any kind still going on in your life

(I say abuse only because in my location dissociative type alters are created in very young children under the age of 5 due to extreme abuse type trauma such as extreme emotional, physical or sexual abuse then depending upon how ones internal system is comprised come mentally and chronologically evolve as the child does into adulthood, ....

other locations outside the USA may have other standards and beliefs on what and how dissociative type alters are created)
*We really can't say if we think it's based off of location for us.

**Again, as we mentioned earlier, the only "trauma" that we went through was depression and anxiety caused by family in high school but we fortunately don't have it anymore because "***" helped pound it down.

*"alters can not be the kind that are fantasy friends/ invisible friends kind of thing that comes with other mental disorders and normal situations.alters can not be the kind that are fantasy friends/ invisible friends kind of thing that comes with other mental disorders and normal situations." We actually have a friend who likes to play pretend by talking to his conscious (He doesn't know that we have this disorder) and we've tried to relate to it somehow but we've kind of come to conclusion that we're more complex than something like that. ᐢ。・ェ・。ᐢ
Thanks for this!
