It's too bad that it is long afterwards that we realize that nothing is given up all-or-nothing? There's always a long period just like with learning something new. I had a symptom/habit I'd had since I was 2-3 and when I started therapy at 20 that was one of the "big" reasons I thought but I wasn't done with that until I was 51-52!
I fret with the losing weight, exercising, habits I don't want anymore and symptoms but they all have their own timing in my life I think and I wish I'd known that earlier so I wouldn't have had to "struggle" so hard and could have just worked with whatever was in front of me when it was there. I saw the same T for 9 years, didn't see her for 9 years, then saw her again for 9 years and now I'm perfect, LOL! But everything happens in its own time and fast/slow doesn't matter, if we "want" it it will get done/happen. We're working toward "health" and I believe we keep moving in that direction.
