((((((((( Cat )))))))))

I understand.

I have put on 2st10 over the past year and I have gone up 2/3 dress sizes, I've had to buy new jeans & trousers, my coats don't fit properly because I'm now too big for them.

Now I've lost a couple of pounds and I'm just on the highest end of the 'normal' BMI range. grrr. So I am planning to lose all the weight I've gained and more if possible but I'm trying to work out a way that doesn't involve too much starvation, since for me last time, 1year's semi-starvation = 1 year's binging = way too much weight gain.

I know from what I remember of your past posts that you are not overweight at your current weight. So maybe do some exercising to tone yourself up a bit. Starvation strategies lead to fast weight loss and it is so exhilarating and confidence-boosting. I loved being a size 8 and wanted to be a size 4 &hoped and hoped there would be a pair of size 6's I could get into. Then I binged and ruined it all. So I think the best strategy is fairly sensible eating (ideally should be a minimum of 1000-1200 calories per day, better would be 1500-1800) plus moderate exercise. Though of course I am a total hypocrit since I'm not doing the advice I'm giving you. But perhaps it might help. And I know you got your GP involved too, perhaps you could go and have a chat with him?
