Wow. For being a therapist supposedly experienced in trauma treatment, due sure doesn't seem tuned in to things. Is this a time-limited program? The only time I've had a therapist move that fast into trauma work was when I was seeing someone through the sexual assault counseling center (they were limited to about 12 sessions per funding guidelines, which, as a trauma- specializing center, they should have known better than to agree to)... Anyway...
Sounds like a super-intense first session (and a huge gap between session 1 & 2). I have responded as you did, feeling pressured to pick something on the spot, and to agree to whatever t was asking about when I was seeing someone at the sa center... and I felt really conflicted and confused afterwards. I ended up writing out stuff for that t to read during the third or so session (it took me that long to find the courage to tell her I was not ok with feeling so pressured). Is there any chance to talk to her about feeling pressured and confused? Maybe a phone conversation or writing something out to either give to her or read at the second session?
