Who is the real you? There is someone there with you who is the observer, the witness. When you are despondent like Eckhard Tolle was, and say "I cannot live with myself any more", who are the two entities? The one is the false self, the allegedly "ill" one. The one that mistakenly thinks that happiness can come from wellness... Aren't healthy even rich people often unhappy too? The false, fragmented self who thinks about the future, the next day, or the past. Good or bad the past is not real, it is only as real as your memory. Often we remember things wrongly, the way we wanted something to happen or often we block out unpleasant memories.
The only firm foundation is in the present and when we are disconnected from the Universe we are unhappy and ill emotionally. These things happen to your false self. The real self is always perfect and grounded. Find out who you really are and you will gain salvation.
I have been following the teachings of Eckhart Tolle for a year now, and it has changed my life !!! Good to know others are doing the same !

I wanted to be in there among them
I see how their eyes are gathered into one

Her palm is split with a flower with a flame
