I've been living in a horrible apartment complex for the past few years. Me and my mother have a horrible relationship. Her husband is a drug addict that's stolen and gotten violent with me multiple times. There are crooked "police officers" that work there and have protected this guy at all costs. Last year, he threw an object at me and I called security to the apartment. When I fought back the security guard claimed he was a cop and tried to get charges pressed on me. Mind you, when he entered the apartment he was complacent and didn't ask me if I wanted to press charges.

These people are insane. I'm a young woman who's working and stays out of trouble. My mom's husband is a squatter who isn't even on the lease...and they never did anything to stop him. Everyone always tries to ask ME what I'm doing with my life when this guy is in his late fourties doing illegal stuff. Every time I've dealt with the cops they've acted like the scum of the earth. I don't know how I've gotten through all this alone. I've had no luck in finding my own place after a very long time trying.
