not trying to promote my own thread, but it may help you OP.
http://forums.psychcentral.com/addic...quit-weed.html

I tried to quit cold turkey but it wasnt as cold. I smoked on day 2 and 3, just one joint. It helped a bit with the stomach aches. The first 3 days are the hardest and you'll have the cravings, maybe also some physical withdrawal like night sweats, diffculty eating/sleeping. this uncomfortable feeling, sweaty palms all day. Drinking tea and loads of water helped for me with my upset stomach.

these lasted for me about 3 days after that it got way better and after 2 weeks almost everything was gone, besides some of the cravings.
i smoked another joint on like day 6 and didn't like it at ALL, so that also motivated me to keep on going, but i do NOT recommend this.

cutting back can help, but I think cutting back is harder than quitting. maybe cut back for 2 days and after that stop it. Also remember no matter how long you've been clean, that one toke or one joint can kick you back into heavy daily use, so just DON'T do it.
