Hi! Thanks for your support. And yes, your question "why would someone want to be [miserable]" is one I've asked before when Bright Siders talk like this. Well, I don't know if he's crazy nor not, but he certainly is not sensitive, not knowledgeable, not professional. There's a great book by Barbara Ehrenreich called
Bright Sided: How the Relentless Promotion of Positive Thinking Has Undermined America.
I have read the book, and mostly agree with. Ehrenreich. She got this uber-positive thinking c***p laid on her when she had breast cancer: Summary of the book: "Americans are a positive people -- cheerful, optimistic, and upbeat.
