I don't think there is any one answer-- as we are each so unique.

It could make things better if it's a wanted pregnancy, with a strong partnership there to pick up the slack due to being tired and such. It can also serve as a big distraction from the far past trauma, helping one to focus on the here and now instead of the past.

There are negatives that can make it all the more worse too. Increased stress levels, people around your body parts that you're used to being private about and many other things.....

It's just so different for each woman-- hard to say how it would be in your case.

I think one thing that may help to make it all a better experience is that it's a planned pregnancy and very much wanted. (not that an unplanned one will make things worse-- just can be a challenge that not everyone is up to)
