Biiv,
It's difficult to keep up with the posts even when one isn't incredibly busy.....almost impossible with the schedule it sounds like you are keeping. Please take care of yourself...don't get too run down & end up getting sick.
Your dream was so sweet to include me in your holiday gathering.
Take care of yourself
50guy,
Thank you for your support as a sounding board & friend....that's really appreciated.
An update on the vacuum....I had no idea how dirty the house had gotten over the time they were working on the windows. I had the professionally cleaned just before Ieft....bit mistake. When I vacuumed the family room, I went over if at least 5 times, dumping the bagless container each time....It came up with at least a handfull of dirt every time. That's a great vacuum & a real dirty carpet. The rest of the house is all new carpet, so there is a lot less dirt in the rest of the carpets....not deep in the carpet there.
Finished up the painting in the bonus room, so now all I have to do is pick up the plastic drop cloth, vacuum that & it's ready to move all the boxes into that room.
Slowly things are coming together & then other things pop up to be done...something I wasn't even planning, but my neighbor was finising our shared driveway to the house he's building....he paid for the grading...I the rocking it in. While doing that, I had decided that my main driveway needed to be widened (too narrow for my new truck) so had them bring a load of rock for that while they were there. That added another job to my list...having to spread around the gravel a bit to fill is all in from where it was.
There is always another unexpected task that showes up. While my neighbor was helping me flag where I wanted the rock poured, he helped me flag where I want the fencing done....he is having a company put in the fence for his farm & said they most likely be able to put my fence in at the same time.....wooohoooo...fenced in pasture for the horses at least & hopefully my whole farm. It breaks up the park look, but is much more functional.
Also purchased a weeping willow tree for the front yard...taking out the little elm tree they planted & replacing it with the willow. They are such beautiful graceful trees....always wanted to have one in my yard only never had enough room.
Thank you all for your continued support & kindness,
Debbie
