Antidepressants are a great solution if you can take them. I have so many side effects from them including the lack of appitite that only makes the matter worse. It was actually taking of antidepressants that triggered my anorexia the last time. There are other meds for those of us who can't take the antidepressants like periactin that also act as appitite enhancers. Both psychiatrists & MD's know about these meds & can prescribe them assuming that the person is going to a Dr in the first place.
